Kickstarter Tuesday

Top 5 Kickstarter's of this week are:

Orphan by Windy Hill Studios
"Orphan is a classically styled 2D action platformer where a young boy is a survivor of an overnight alien invasion."

Funding Goal - $32,000 by Tuesday 3rd March

My Opinion - A great story, fantastic atmosphere and beautiful backdrops; this game is worth checking out.

Children of Morta by Dead Mage
"Children of Morta is a story-driven hack ‘n slash roguelike game which will involve you in the adventures of the Bergson family."

Funding Goal - $65,000 by Thursday 19th February

My Opinion - A rogue-like 2d pixel game with a detailed and interesting backstory.  This already been backed really strongly and I'll be adding to that and looking forward to it's release.

Nova Blitz by Dragon Foundry
"The NovaBlitz real-time TCG features blazing fast game play, deep strategy, and huge cash prize tournaments!"

Funding Goal - $80,000 by Friday 20th February

My Opinion - A colourful and fun-looking trading card game.  Check out the demo (link on Kickstarter page) for an initial impression - it impressed me.

Starr Mazer by Imagos Softworks
"A retro-sexy Point-and-Click Adventure Shoot 'em Up in SPACE!"

Funding Goal - $160,000 by Saturday 21st February

My Opinion - Point-and-click, side scrolling shooter and a detailed story.  This looks like a space-opera epic that should be a lot of fun when finished.

STRAFE® by Pixel Titans
"The future of video games: the fastest, bloodiest, deadliest, most adjective-abusing, action-packed first-person shooter of 1996."

Funding Goal - $185,096 by Thursday 19th February

My Opinion - A loud and brash old-skool shooter.  I grew up playing Wolfenstein and Doom - this fits the bill perfectly if I need to scratch that itch again.
