Kickstarter Tuesday

Welcome to Kickstarter Tuesday and my run down of my top 5 projects of the week.

The Incredible Baron by FlatRedBall Studios
"Discover over 45 unlockable creatures in a Pokémon-inspired 'reverse tower defense' game for iOS, Android and Windows 8!"

Funding Goal - $8,000 by Sunday 15th February

My Opinion - My favourite kickstarter of the week.  The game looks like it is a lot of fun and has a good sense of humour.

Moonman by Ben Porter
"A magic mollusc summons a moonman to illuminate a dark world. A procedurally-generated adventure game for PC, Mac and Linux."

Funding Goal - $35,000 (Australian) by Thursday 12th February

My Opinion - Good story, old-fashioned gameplay and a dedicated team behind it.  This looks like a very promising game and if you enjoy rogue-like games, this is for you.

Shadowrun: Hong Kong by HareBrained Schemes LLC
"A Shadowrun cyberpunk cRPG set in 2056's Magically Awakened Hong Kong by the developers of Shadowrun Returns & Dragonfall."

Funding Goal - $100,000 by Tuesday 17th February.  The project has already reached $500,000 with the final stretch goal (currently) at $700,000

My Opinion - If you like any of the previous Shadowrun games then this is a no-brainer to support.  What does this for me though, is the Cyberpunk and Asian settings that look like a great combination.

Steel Assault by Sri Kankanahalli
"Years after the U.S. falls, the world is on the brink of war once more. A 2D action platformer for PC, in the style of a late NES game."

Funding Goal - $8,000 by Thursday 19th February

My Opinion - Looks like a good side-scrolling action game.  I grew up with games like this so happy to back a new one, particularly one that looks as fun as this.

Terra Incognito RPG by Dan Steer
"Terra is a nostalgia inducing, retro inspired role playing game with 16-bit, 90's style graphics! Explore the vast world of Terra!"

Funding Goal - £500 by Friday 13th February

My Opinion - A well thought-through 2D RPG.  Loving the D&D feel to this. Worth checking out.
