Greenlight Wednesday

Happy Wednesday all! Here is my run down of the top 5 Steam Greenlight games from the last 7 days.

Vernon's Legacy by TripleBrick
"...is an unusual exploration game with distinct horror elements and a captivating storyline.
You are playing as Robert, the new owner of the Dungenhof mansion.
When exploring your new property you quickly realize that something has changed here since you last visited. Something is not right."

My Opinion - this game looks beautiful and very atmospheric, with a good back-story as well.  Worth voting for to hopefully see on steam in the future.

Angels Fall First by AFF Dev Team
"Angels Fall First is a truly first person sci-fi war game.

From commanding the battle standing on the bridge of your flagship all the way down to serious infantry firefighting - with everything in between - AFF brings together all the war you ever loved.

Featuring team-based gameplay, and offering a wide selection of weapons and tools, ground vehicles and spacecraft, AFF includes Full bot support. This means you can co-op versus AI, play entirely offline, or earn glory in full PVP matches."

My Opinion - imagine Battlefield in space, with the ability to fly spaceships...works for me!  Looking forward to this being released.

Caribbean Odyssey by Game Indica
"Caribbean Odyssey is the first instalment of a long tale that tells a compelling & epic story of the legendary character, Captain Henry Morgan."

My Opinion - looks like a really interesting pirate adventure game.  It looks pretty unique to me and well worth keeping an eye out for in the future.  In the meantime check it out and give it a vote.

Voidrunner
"This is the Void... Forever and never, alive and dead...
Voidrunner is a speed & reflex flying game made in stunning Unreal Engine 4. Targeted for PC/Console systems, expected to be completed on late 2015.
The basic gameplay is about racing through the environment and head for the exit portal before time runs out. Enemies, turrets and the environment itself will try to prevent your progress and it's up to your flying skills to advance through the Void."

My Opinion - looks really good with fantastic visuals.  Also nice to see a game of this type focussed on a different type of gameplay, i.e. running instead of fighting.

Jack Toresal and The Secret Letter by Textfyre
"Set in the town of Toresal in the kingdom of Miradania, Secret Letter is an adventure about a fourteen year old orphan that everyone knows as "Jack". Jack is pulled into a dangerous mystery when a handful of Baron Fossville's mercenaries begin hunting him. From Grubber's Market through Commerce Street, and onto Lord's Keep; Jack is faced with numerous challenges. Teisha lends a hand along the way, as does Bobby, the mysterious boy always lurking in Lord's Market. The ladies at Maiden House are helpful, but can sometimes be a bit overbearing. The shopkeepers are always willing to chat about the latest gossip. Jack, he just wants to sit down and eat an apple."

My Opinion - already available on the company website but they are hoping to bring it to steam as well.  I love interactive fiction and this looks like a great example of it.
