Kickstarter Tuesday

A very tricky selection this week but I've tried to give a balanced and varied Top 5 - hope you enjoy.

Sportball Manager by Paralux
Lead your team to a championship in the future's awesomest sport. Sports management sim meets strategy/RPG gameplay, for PC/Mac.

Funding Goal - $15,000 by Thursday 26th March

My Opinion - I love Sports Management Games and it is nice to see an original concept for such a game with futuristic setting and a 'made up' sport.  What I really like about it is the RPG element of it where you unlock new skills and tactics along the way.  If you like Sports Management Games with a bucket load of stats, this one is for you.

Wave of Darkness by by Aurofinity and Dreamatrix
Hack'n RPG for PC: crafting system, spell generator, sacrifices, gods, exploration and endless slashing and looting.

Funding Goal - $20,00 by Thursday 2nd April

My Opinion - Wave of Darkness follows on from the excellent Legends of Dawn (also funded from Kickstarter).  If you like fantasy RPGs, you can't go wrong with this, especially if you liked Legends of Dawn, or even similar games in the genre such as Diablo.

Don't be Patchman by Naturally Intelligent
Help Patchman rescue the Sheeple from enslavement by the Drone army! A pixel-art action/adventure game for PC, Mac, Linux.

Funding Goal - $25,000 (Canadian) by Thursday 26th March

My Opinion - A highly original pixel adventure that looks like a lot of fun.  Check out the video for a full explanation of the plot - putting in to words here is going to be impossible.

Nephil's Fall by Exordium Games
A fantasy metroidvania platformer with unique mechanics telling an epic story about a fallen guardian in a corrupted world.

Funding Goal - $30,000 by Wednesday 1st April

My Opinion - A great story told in an interesting way and with a major twist on the normal platformer - for a start you travel from right to left!  I love the main character as well; it looks like a Warforged from Eberron (geeky D&D reference).

Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders by Nupixo Games
Play as the legendary detective Di Renjie and follow the trail of a serial killer in the heart of ancient China.

Funding Goal - $16,000 (Canadian) by Friday 27th March

My Opinion - There aren't enough detective games out there that aren't just the hidden item genre.  This is highly original with a nice art style, good story and interesting gameplay.  Back this if you want to see a highly original game come to life.
